Dear Faircrest Farms Friend, Farm-to-table goodness: peaches, carrots, radishes, and basil pesto ideas—straight from our fields to your plate.
Dear Faircrest Farms Friends,
Welcome September! The cooler days are giving our plants one last beautiful hurrah. Just in time for Brigham City’s Peach Days this weekend, we’re bringing you a new variety of peaches. We’ve been savoring them every way imaginable—galettes, cobblers, crisps, cookie bars, and simply sliced fresh over oatmeal or French toast.
This week’s new arrivals: cantaloupe and Roma beans (a customer request!). Carrots are also back for the next few weeks, along with spaghetti squash, French Breakfast radishes, and a tender new batch of Tokyo turnips—perfect for salads or soups.
On Our Table
I’ve been making pesto with our fresh basil—so delicious spooned over roasted spaghetti squash! If you’re looking for recipe ideas, just ask us at the stand—we love to share. We've also enjoyed zucchini bread with fresh canteloup!
