Hello Faircrest Farms Friends!
The seasons are changing, and here at Faircrest Farms we're thinking not only about this year's harvest, but about the seeds of future harvests.
For the past two days, I had the privilege of attending Seed School in Salt Lake City, taught by Casey O'Leary, director of the Snake River Seed Cooperative. Forty-three of us gathered to learn the art and practice of saving seeds adapted to the unique growing conditions of the Intermountain West.
We learned through hands-on demonstrations how saving and sharing locally adapted seed can strengthen food sovereignty, our health, and the quality of life in our communities.
The energy in the class was amazing!
