🌱 GET GROUNDED WITH US
Our farm is more than rows of vegetables. It’s a place where people reconnect—with the land, with each other, and with themselves. We’ve seen it firsthand: a group of women working together under a blossoming plum tree, pulling up bucket after bucket of stubborn grass roots, grounded in shared purpose and presence.
As one visitor beautifully put it:
“This was so great—just to be out here feeling the life force, getting grounded, letting other feelings go.”
That’s the magic of Faircrest Farms. Here, the work heals, the land teaches, and every season offers a chance to grow something meaningful—together.
🌿 WHY VOLUNTEER?
Volunteers aren’t just appreciated—they’re essential to what we do. Whether you're sowing seeds, watering starts, pulling weeds, or harvesting greens, you’ll find yourself moving to the rhythm of the land. And after a good morning’s work, you’re always welcome to join Rita and Farmer Karl for a shared lunch and conversation.
Our motto, “Dancing with Nature,” really says it all. When you volunteer, you’ll experience that dance for yourself—the peace, the purpose, and the joy of working with the land and connecting with others who care.
đź•’ Volunteer Hours at Faircrest Farms
We welcome volunteers Monday through Friday for as little as 2 hours at a time—come when you can, and stay as long as you’re able!
- Start Time: 8:30 AM — Meet us in the breezeway
- Wrap-Up: Around 2:30 PM
- Flexible Blocks: Join us for any part of the day, ideally in 2-hour shifts

Never farmed or gardened before? You’re in the right place. No need to worry if you’re new to farming or gardening—no experience is required! Our volunteer tasks are simple, meaningful, and hands-on. We’ll guide you every step of the way. And don’t worry—nature does most of the teaching.
